Glossary

What it is

Look up the term you saw in a pet menu. Follow its linked guide for steps and costs.

Quick facts

  • Pet level ceiling: 100
  • EXP Share percentage: 25%
  • Power Level interval: 500
  • Nickname limit: 16 characters
  • Active companion: one equipped pet.
  • Recycle: permanently remove a pet for shards.

How to start

Start with the noun shown in the menu: Pet Delivery for a waiting reward, Family Resource for a meter, or Pet Score for collection points. Then check the action: activate, withdraw, redeem, incubate or recycle. Similar-looking heads can represent different objects, so the action and item instructions matter more than appearance alone.

Steps

  1. Identify the unfamiliar term in the menu or feedback message.
  2. Find its species in the reference below.
  3. Open its related feature guide before paying coins, consuming an egg or making a permanent selection.
  4. Return to the menu and verify the pet identity and requirement before continuing.

Collection and presentation terms

Active companion means the pet currently equipped for gameplay. Idle pet means an owned companion that is not active. Collection means the pets you currently own in Your Pets. Pet species means the species identity shared by copies of the same pet. Individual pet means the particular owned companion with its own progression.

Pet Hub is the launcher opened with /pets. Pet Details is the individual pet information menu. Favorites are organizational markers. Filter narrows displayed results. Sort changes their order. Nickname is your custom name for a pet. Skin is a cosmetic appearance. Pet Visibility controls companion visuals. Pet Labels controls your view of your own pet's label. Action bar is the compact gameplay display that includes equipped-pet resource information.

Training and effects terms

XP means experience used for progression. Pet XP advances pet levels. Skill XP advances a skill and feeds eligible pet training. Primary skill is the pet family's mapped skill. Non-primary skill is another skill. Rarity multiplier scales the cost of pet levels. Cumulative XP is the total used to compare level thresholds. Diminishing returns reduce repeated skill-event conversion within a window.

EXP Share is selected idle training from an active companion's eligible conversion. Rank capacity is the number of usable share recipients supplied by the highest granted rank. Affinity biome is a biome listed for the pet's amplification. Family is its skill and meter grouping. Family Resource is the current active-pet meter. Continuous is a continuous resource meter, stacked is a stacked resource meter and alternating is an alternating state.

Ability means an action or effect installed in a rarity slot. Trigger is the event that attempts it. Chance is the attempt's probability. Cooldown is the wait before another ordinary activation. Context is the target, tool or situation needed by the effect. COST spends resource after success. REQUIRE checks without spending. GAIN adds resource after success. NONE has no usual meter condition. Buff is a helpful timed status. Debuff is harmful. Stacks indicate status strength, and duration is the time the effect remains.

Eggs and progression terms

Signed family egg is an egg used through physical incubation. Mystery Egg chooses among its valid base-family pool. Hatch rarity is the rarity rolled when hatching. Base rarity belongs to the species selection and is separate from rolled hatch rarity. Incubator is the physical egg-and-growth station. Incubation is the egg stage before a baby. Growth is the baby's timed path to adulthood. Feed is the matching family food that advances growth.

Breeding pairs eligible parents. Twins are the extra purebred outcome. Generation records lineage depth. Hybrid combines parent families. Lifetime breeds are a parent's limited uses. Rarity Upgrade spends eligible resources to advance lower rarities. Legendary Ascension uses its bounty path. Mythic Mutation uses its active Legendary timer and mutation attempt. Shards are the rarity materials used in exchanges and upgrades. Recycling permanently deletes the chosen pet for shards.

Bond is the pet's relationship score and tier label. Talent is a permanent branch selection at a level checkpoint. Mastery records Mythic maximum-level achievement without adding passive stats. Codex remembers discovered species. Pet Score measures current collection rarity plus max-level bonuses. Milestone is an earned threshold reward. Power Level is the total of your skill levels. Jackpot is a chance-based Super Ability egg reward. Login Streak counts consecutive UTC dates.

What can go wrong

Affordable means you meet the displayed cost and the payment service is available. Eligible means the pet or action also meets its non-price requirements. Locked means an operation cannot currently use the pet or choice. A held Delivery entry asks you to rejoin before collection. An empty slot means a fully empty inventory storage slot rather than spare capacity in an existing stack.

Worked example

Pebble Whelp is active and Tidepool Fry is selected for EXP Share. Tidepool Fry receives 25% of the eligible conversion before its own bonuses. It stays idle and cannot cast abilities.

More to know

A menu label does not merge distinct systems. A cosmetic does not grant another active slot, a meter does not equal XP, and mastery is not a combat buff. Use the specific guide before treating a progression label as an applied stat increase.
