Raid Bosses Overview

What it is

Fight a raid boss and deal damage to earn rewards. Ranked prizes and participation eggs have separate damage requirements.

Ranked placement and the participation egg use different thresholds. Ranked contribution requires 1% of maximum boss health, with a minimum of 1 damage. The participation egg uses its own damage minimum, including damage below the ranked threshold. Read both before deciding that an unranked player earned no reward.

How to start

Open /pets → Raid Bosses or use /pets raid. Select a boss to inspect Damage & Qualification, Placement Rewards, Participation & Weekly Bonus, and Location & Schedule. The menu provides information. It does not join or teleport you into combat. Watch the spawn announcements and visit the active fight.

Activate the pet you want to use before attacking. Its level and rarity contribute to raid power. Survival and Adventure are the reward-eligible modes. Keep fighting and stay online for payout. Merely standing near the boss is not damage contribution, and changing out of an eligible mode removes the recorded contribution for that fight.

Steps

Read the current boss information first because boss health, schedule, and attack details belong to that boss.

  1. Open Raid Bosses and inspect the active fight or next countdown.
  2. Activate your chosen companion from Your Pets.
  3. Travel to the fight in a reward-eligible mode.
  4. Attack the boss and watch your contribution feedback.
  5. Respond to attack names, sounds, marked areas, and delayed impacts.
  6. Meet the participation minimum and continue dealing damage if you want ranked placement.
  7. Remain online when rewards are awarded, then collect item rewards from Pet Delivery.

Reference

Each placement reward category has the chance shown below. Shard, block and money outcomes are separate rolls within the chosen category.

Your raid damage power starts with pet level and its rarity bonus. Each boss then applies its own scaling.

When damage or rewards do not appear

Raid combat must be enabled and the boss must be the active fight. An attack without an active pet produces a message asking you to activate one. Damage absorbed by a boss shield does not necessarily become useful health damage. The fight’s eligible damage recording then determines your participation and rank.

No contribution is earned just by being nearby or leaving the menu open. A player who changes away from Survival or Adventure loses recorded contribution for that fight. Players absent from online payout are skipped for ordinary ranked and participation rewards. If you meet only the participation minimum, you can still be outside the ranked contribution list. Those are different checks.

Worked example

Use your Pebble Whelp for this example.

Compare your damage with 1,000 for the participation egg. Separately calculate 1% of the boss’s maximum HP, with the 1-damage floor, to know whether you qualify for ranked placement. Passing the first number does not automatically pass the second. Continue dealing damage if you want a place among the top 3 qualified contributors.

First place receives a boss-family egg when its reward is enabled. Later rewarded places draw from shard, money, blocks, and egg categories according to their chances. A top contributor who also meets the participation minimum can receive the participation egg too. The weekly first-defeat bonus is an additional enabled reward, not a replacement for the normal payout.

Limits and rules

The participation egg hatches Common. A later-placement egg has a Rare ceiling, and the boss-family first-place egg has an Epic ceiling. Rarity is rolled at hatch rather than guaranteed by the reward’s pet family. Eligible contributors can still receive normal contribution rewards when a fight ends by fleeing. The weekly first-defeat bonus requires an actual defeat.

Telegraphs depend on the attack. Named warnings, sounds, marked ground, and delayed effects tell you what to respond to. Enrage starts at the half-health threshold and enables stronger behavior. The overview does not substitute for learning individual boss attacks. Positioning, hazard avoidance, and maintaining useful damage are all part of participating.

Your questions

Why can I not hurt the boss?

The fight must be active and enabled, and you need an active pet.

Why am I unranked despite dealing some damage?

Ranked qualification requires the percentage of maximum boss HP, separate from participation rewards.

Can top players receive participation eggs too?

Yes, if the participation reward is enabled and they meet its minimum.

Does standing near the boss earn rewards?

No. Rewards depend on recorded damage and the relevant eligibility checks.

What happens if I switch out of an eligible mode?

Your aggro entry and recorded fight contribution are removed.

Must I be online for payout?

The ordinary ranked and participation branches reward online players.

Do fleeing bosses award nothing?

Qualified contribution rewards can still be awarded on fleeing. The weekly first-defeat bonus requires defeat.

Does a first-place egg hatch Legendary?

Its effective hatch ceiling is Epic. Later placement is capped at Rare and participation at Common.

Participation and weekly rewards

Participation rewards are enabled. The weekly first-kill bonus is enabled. A qualifying mode change or departure still removes your participation as described above.

Reward: Participation. Setting: enabled.

Reward: Weekly first kill. Setting: enabled.
