Legendary Ascension and the Bounty Board
What it is
Keep your chosen Epic pet active while completing its Legendary quest. Finish the task to raise that same pet to Legendary.
Completing the selected quest ascends that pet to Legendary and resets it to level 1 with 0 XP. This completion path is an automatic ascension, not an additional random Legendary rarity roll. It also grants a temporary pet XP bonus whose strength and duration depend on quest difficulty.

How to start
Open /pets → Bounty Board or use /pets bounty. Inspect each Legendary Ascension quest for family, target, difficulty, and remaining rotation time. Bring an unlocked Epic pet of the named family at level 100. If several of your pets qualify, the active eligible pet is preferred. Otherwise an eligible pet is chosen from your collection. Activate the one you intend to use before confirming.
The board offers the same rotation to every player. It is not a personal request list that rerolls when reopened. Once chosen, the quest cannot be cancelled to try another during the same rotation. Read the confirmation screen while you still have time to change your selection.
Steps
A quest’s progress belongs to the selected individual pet. Make that companion your active pet before beginning the activity.
- Reach the required level with an Epic pet of an offered family.
- Open Bounty Board and read the family, difficulty, task, target, and deadline.
- Activate the eligible pet you want the quest to use.
- Choose and confirm the quest.
- Keep that exact pet active while completing its required activity before expiry.
- After completion, open Your Pets and find the Legendary pet at its new starting level.
- Check its active status and use the earned temporary XP bonus for the next leveling run.

When you cannot start or progress
The board rejects an invalid, unavailable, or expired quest. It also rejects choosing again after you already picked during the rotation, or when you already have an active Legendary quest. You need an Epic pet at the required level and family. A Rare pet, a lower-level Epic, or a locked companion is not eligible.
Progress requires the exact selected pet to be active and the activity to match the selected task. A different active companion produces no progress for this quest. So does an activity of the wrong type. When the rotation expires, unfinished progress does not turn into an ascension reward. Start with enough time to reach the displayed target.
Worked example
Choose your Epic Pebble Whelp for this Mining example.
An Epic Mining-family pet at level 100 can take a matching Mining quest. A Normal Mining target is the middle value in 800 / 1,600 / 3,200. Mine the required ore blocks with that selected pet active. Mining with another pet, even another eligible pet of the same family, does not advance this selection.
Successful completion changes the selected pet to Legendary at level 1 and 0 XP. A Normal completion awards 25% additional pet XP for 1 day. You then wait for a later UTC rotation before choosing another Legendary quest. The target difficulty and the reward difficulty stay paired.
Limits and rules
The quest picks an eligible pet at activation and does not automatically follow whatever companion you summon later. Check its identity before a long mining, farming, or combat session. The target table follows the family’s linked skill. For example, Mining and Excavation both use a mining task but different target triples.
Quest completion adds the newly available ability slots for Legendary and starts the pet’s new rarity progression. It does not instantly make the pet ready for Mythic mutation: Mythic requires a Legendary pet leveled back to its own eligibility threshold. The temporary XP award helps the leveling phase but does not bypass the required level.
Your questions
Why does my Epic pet not qualify?
It must reach the required level, match the named family, and be unlocked.
Can I change quests during the rotation?
No. After choosing, that rotation’s selection cannot be cancelled for another.
Why does another pet of the same family not progress it?
The quest is tied to the selected individual pet, which must be active.
Does progress continue after expiry?
No. The quest must still be available and unexpired.
Is there a random rarity roll after completion?
This completion path directly ascends the pet to Legendary.
Why is my new Legendary back at the starting level?
Legendary Ascension resets its level and XP for the new rarity.
Why do two mining quests have different targets?
The linked skill and difficulty choose the target, so Mining, Excavation, and Smelting have different triples.
